We have over 20+ so far and more being found. Mostly small ones. A 40-60 ac one straite above me a mile from Canada Border in the Timber no one on it yet they just found it. Tankers can't fly much longer to night so it will be first thing in the morning befor a crew or drops of retardent hit it. Sure has been a wild day so far and more storms tomorrow to come. Mark H.

Where are you guys? We had some pretty black skies here tonight around 6:30 or so but no lighting with it and only a few drops of the wet stuff. The bush here is tinder dry and it looks like another disaster looking for a place to happen! B.C. can't send fire-fighting aid until the U.S. requests it. Until then we just have to sit and watch and wait for the fire to cross the border! Good luck! Our house burned to the ground last November and we lost EVERYTHING! No insurance because we were too far out in the bush.

pretty black looking around here tonight too , nothing started up yet but it looks like we,re going to get hit by a dandy.if they are going to put tankers on that one it would have to be american tankers, seems the B.C. govt. is trying to save money and aren,t using the tankers , not yet anyways and we had two towns in danger, they are saying the terrian is too bad for the tankers, i have never heard of that before, ive seen those boys fly through hell and back, terrian never stopped them before.

Toolman we don't have any Tankers just Hellicopters and Single Engine planes for Retardent drops. They grounded them. The last fire we had Canada came down to help put it out!! So if Canada does not make the drops it will be like up p##ing on it with the Helos tomorrow then it will be in your area anyway. We had several break up over fires making drops so they grounded the whole works! All our fire fighters are back at the bases now and off the fires till tomorrow. Mark H.

they bought some more new tankers last winter to be ready for this season ,i don,t know why they didn,t use them. people from lillote on the news were mad at them for not using them, they had dozens of choppers on that fire and a pretty big ground crew too , don,t have it under control yet either, as far as i know.
