(Apologies to e'body in advance for my cow ramblings...I know it's not the "cattle board"!!)

If you go to the co-op, the John Deere flud film, comes in a can (like hair spray) you put the tube/straw on the nozzle and hit Chloe with a shot everyday. (This stuff is a lubricant that works like the oil home remedy, but simpler) It will take 2-3 weeks or so, it's very easy, but remember it's a home remedy. The Lamisil, Tenactin (athletes foot cream) really does work...and those two cures are for ring worm. Is is scaley, or crusty? If you don't get rid of it, it will spread and scar her whole head, travel over her whole body, and you will have a mess, and bald spots! Don't believe your dr. when he says You can't get it from your animals...You can!

Eprinex for the lice. (It's a version of Ivomec that's safe for cows and calves.) This is also a wormer.

If you love your cows like I think you do, get them treated as soon as you can. Whatever it is, that itching has got to be driving them crazy!

I'm sure somebody will tell me I'm wrong, but in my opinion it (ringworm) seems to be worse in the warm, humid areas. In our travels nord (Canada) they tell us they don't get it. Eh? Ya think that's true? Or are they just joshin' us simple Americans! ;^)

But it is a country related thing, cows that is. :) I love cows, I want a few when I can have them. If you have cow stories to tell, please tell! I haven't gottne any negativity from my chicken ramblings. Everybody seems to like them and the new thing I do, the daily chicken pic. So let it fly honey!!!
