Did you all ever notice that one can't find any green tomatoes in your friendly produce section??

Why, I wonder, as there are many of us who love them, I grow mine, but always check the produce section out...It would benefit the supermarkets to add these, because if not all were sold, they would ripen to red ones.....

fry some of the store red ones . they ain't ripe any way . they have been gassed to make them red . last week i bought some for tomato sandwitches and they were hard so i fried the rest and they were fine . actually prefer nearly ripe home grown ones for frying .won't be long and i will some from my garden .

I just love fried green tomatoes. We grow our own too. I also like BLT's with home grown tomatoes. You know there only two things money cant buy and that is true love and home grown tomatoes.

Your husband doesn't like red tomatoes, but he will eat fried green tomatoes all day long. Try a Farmers Market maybe?

Well, since my own tomatoes aren't big enough yet, to fry, got some of the hard red ones, and found a couple of squash.....guess what I am gonna fix this weekend? All veggie dinner. Yum yum.
