Holy mother of pearl..the music these days. Rap especially. I heard a song by some guy named 50 cent I believe..the whole song is about his shoes. And the language is appalling. I'm 14 and I never listen to that stuff..I listen to good old country music. I love it. Rap these days is getting ridiculous! What do you guys think?

I hate rap. I get to hear it booming down my street, rattling my windows quite often around here. I get to hear it coming from two streets over, all day as I try to do yardwork, or enjoy my chickens. The language is appalling, it is not music, it is just foul noise. There is no "art" to rap. Its junk. Me and my daughter also listen to country music. She loves everybody from Willie Nelson to Martina McBride. I think rap is violent and hostile.

Not always, I think country music sounds like hell in speakers, everytime i turn it on my cat hides under the sofa.

Good Kristy, it shows you're paying attention. Like the stock market or any field with big bucks involved, there are tons of people scrambling to bend your attention span to fill their wallets. Nashville for example isn't the home of country music, it's like the capital of an industry and they pick favorites and sell them into the spotlite. Branson Mo is trying to shove them into the back seat, rap and every banging drum wants a piece of the action and so on. As a result, some excellent entertainers never get a chance. Some excellent sounds are never heard. But they're out there working if you can wade thru the trash & find them. I like graffiti ballads like Tom Waite does. :)

Rap isn't music. It's noise.

If you want good music, go to CDBaby.com. It's not the overhyped garbage advertised on tv. It's music made by people that love music.

What is one of your favorite rap songs or artists, Jacqueline?

Do you and the other girls at (68.52.152.125)
Share the same computer?
Jacqueline, Julie, Amanda, Jackie, & Emily you all have identical ISP #

I could put that "song" on here but I am afraid I would be banned from this site.
Sorry I can't post the words either, the filter would let so few words through, it would make no sense at all. After listening I think Jay-Z has more than 99 problems. JMO

Yes those are my coworkers, Jackie and I are the same person. "I got 99 problems but a B***h aint one" he is saying that there are so many problems in the world, but girls aren't one of them.

I think that ridiculous pretty well sums it up. I have heard it said for years that music calms the savage beast. If that is right there is a whole lot of other stuff out there that belongs in the same trash can as rap.
