Ken's Sulky post jogged a memory. Hope it doesn't bore you to sleep. I built a two wheel cart for my Shetland pony about 1952 and drove it to the picture show about a mile away from home on Saturday. The object was to "pick up girls". In those days, the old courthouse had a mule watering trough behind it and many folks came to town in wagons to do Saturday shopping for the week. I would hitch my pony and cart there until the show (Roy Rogers, Gene Autrey, etc) was over and ride some cute lass home. You would not believe how the other boys hated me and is probably why I had to take a licking every day at school. It was worth it, or at least I think that I remember it was. Some fun.
