I remember as a toddler being scared of a movie called Black Scorpion. It probably wasn't even a 'B' movie. But radioactivity made this scorpion get huge. It naturally started hunting and eating people as all giant radioactive mutated creatures are supposed to do.
As an adult, the most tense movie I remember was the first time I saw 'Alien' with Sigourney Weaver. The constant tension of "Where is that thing?" kind of wears you out. We have a movie type system around here. These two movies fall in the "Bite you" movie type. Other types are "Shoot you", "Kick you", and last but not least, "Chick Flick". Makes it easy to explain when somebody in the family comes by and says, "Whatcha watchin?"

"JAWS" the original one.
A bite you film kept me on edge.

I do not like those scary evil ones,
so I do not watch them.

A movie that did not get much attention but scared the bejeepers out of us. It is on video now.

"The Changeling" with Geo. C. Scott and Trish Vandervere. Spooky, not "slasher" type.

NIghtmare on Elm Street One and two, I was around 16 or 17, me and my best friend went to see it at the movies, didn't sleep a wink. My dad comes in my room at 3 am and asks me what I am doing.
