Wanted to share what my rooster has taken to doing and knew you'd appreciate it...being a fellow chicken enthusiast! "Chanticleer" my dominque rooster had taken to going in the henhouse with each hen when she goes in to lay any egg. He sets in the corner and patiently waits until she's laid the egg and then follows her back outside!

I guess after he lost "Cleo" while she was setting on the nest full of eggs, he figures he'd best be watching out for them.

My Hubby says to tell you thanks for posting the pictures of "Tip". He had a border collie named "Tip" when he was growing up. He learned how to walk on Tip's back. Was the most gentle, patient dog they ever had.

Keep sharing the photos! We really enjoy them.

Thats so sweet! If I had a rooster it would be just like eg's. I love his rooster "little man". I have begun to hang out over at The Easy myself. Very nice bunch of people. Lots of good info on the site. I don't have a digital camera, so I have to collect some more memories the old fashioned way, lol. I will definitely show more when I have them. Thanks for sharing your story. I love stuff like that. :) See you over on The Easy!
