Hope you all had a good day! Mine was good--kinda regrouping after wheat harvest before going into doublecropping beans.
Oh and by the way--guess who I saw today?
The infamous Cliff! He was all fired up about running for county board!
Unfortunatly his only political experience was the time he ran for highway comissioner and got a grand total of 4 votes. Which means that either his wife of one of his kids didn't vote for him!

Sometimes a looser is better than a winner when it comes to politics..Just ask Al Gore.Hey,,You cut wheat all day??Do they ever cut wheat at night? You cant cut rice at night because you have to look for mudholes.

It has to be dry to do a good job.Usualy by 10AM or so it's good to go, then by around sundown it gets a little tough cutting.
After a rain or heavy dew, when the sun comes out and starts drying the stubble in a cut fiels, it sounds almost like Rice Crispies-snap, crackle, pop.
