Hello;
I am a 32 yr old married lady from IL. Been married for 14 yrs. With 2
kids...my boy is 11 yrs old Cole(boarder coliie/lab mix) and my girl
is 4 yr old Mia(retired greyhound)..

I was born in the Northwoods of Rhinelander,Wis and lived there for
the first 7 yrs of my life and the rest of the time I lived in IL.
My dream is to move to a 2 acre piece of land in the mountains and
build a log cabin to live in. I want to be able to have a garden and
maybe a few chickens and a horse..But still be able to enjoy plenty of
wildlife(like deer, moose, ect) and maybe have a small lake nearby where
I can hear the calls of the Common Loons..

I do not hunt but have lot of family that do..I would not beopposed to
trying it..I do love to target practice with my vary of guns and love
going to the local gun shows when posssible..As for other outdoor
activities camping and fishing are enjoyable things for me.

My husband is not like me at all..he's a modern techy..and couch potatoe..

So I would like to meet ladies with the same interest as myself.

As for my career--as of right now I am unemployed..But am am
registered Pharmacy Technician..so looking for a job in that field for
now...my dream career would be owning a used bookshop in a small town.
Hubby would like to operate a chess store in the same building with a
cafe in between them both.

Hope to make new friends here...
PS..Is there a scheduled chat night and time??
Lisa

Greetings!
I am fairly new myself, but I can say what a great crowd this is! I live in beautiful downtown Red House, WV. We live in the middle of about 7 acres of wooded property. Two cats, Mollie and Grizzlie. 1 wife, Dee, 41. 1 daughter,Mikayla, 14.
I work for the Postal Service, but in spite of that, am mostly harmless. (Honest) By-the-way, I don't think I ever told anyone, my name is Jeff, 40 years old. I think that is everything.......

Welcome, Kountry Mile, I guess at 32 tender years young
you get to be one of the youngens here.
One thing you must remember is always treat the elders here with respect,
whether they deserve it or not. LOL
If you drop by often enough you will learn a lot and forget even more.

Hey there, and welcome! I wanted you to know your not alone in the husband thingie. Mine says I can farm all I want to, but he ain't helping. Its okay though, I enjoy my dreams, and I do already have chickens for the eggs, built the run myself, raised them from day old chicks and they are very tame, I even took one to Petsmart! I still haven't told that story. We have so many unique people here. Everybody is like family, so join the family. :) Sounds like a wonderful dream you have. Mine is to move onto about 10 acres away from the hustle and bustle, have more animals, and a garden, OH! I have a border collie too! She will be four years old August 15th. Love her like a second child, I do have one daughter, she is 9. :) If you would like to see all my pictures of my chickens, border collie and all that, go to the photo gallery, go to the bottom where it says search, and put in KellyGa, and all my pics will come up, if you want to. :) Welcome again. ;)

Welcome to the fold Lisa. I hope you will be happy here but ya have to be careful of some of those old guys. Now, take me for instance, I'm only 67. But there's a few here that truly qualify to be called old codger.

However, we have some very nice ladies here that lighten up this place. There's Lenore and Kelly, and DonnaMo, and DonnaWV, and Cindi, and Patria, and Engineer Joyce, and MaggieTx, And several more that you'll come to know and love.

Now, the best way to get everyone's attention is to write about some real life experience. Something exciting and thought provoking such as How: you drove your RV over a cliff one dark stormy night on your way to town to get life sustaining medicine for an ailing little ole neighbor lady and how you had to scratch and claw your broken and bleeding body back to the top and with the help of a hand fashioned walking stick you found on the ground, you dragged your injured left leg the four miles to the drug store only to find it locked up and the pharmacist gone home for the night. ........Well, you get the picture.

Again, feel at home. But, keep those waders handy.......gfp

Hi lisa - i'm 61 rs old and we live on a lake in mn. Well you know - not ON but close enough to get taxed for it. We burn wood, sleep late and leak where we want and that's better than any city i've been in. :) Oh, and we have a new grand-daughter named Sage. 5 pounds something. :)

I tried to get a picture of her since our hospital posts "baby pages" on the internet, but apparently we'll have to wait for monday when their staff updates the pages. She's here alright but hasn't made her online debut. Ya like little things? heh heh

Welcome to the Board. Lots of really great people visit here and at all hours of the day. Some of these people are even up before sunset OOPS I mean sunrise.
I live in Northern Maine, married with 2 stepchildren in their twenties, two cats, 12 acres, 1 tractor, a few rabbits of the wild persuasion, the odd moose and deer, 1 pickup and a 10 year old Buick. Life is good.
