Sorry it took so long to get to telling this story. I have been a bit busy as of late. :) Anyway...

First of all, I know y'all all voted for Sweetie Pie to go to Petsmart with me. Well...I wasn't going to chase her all morning, and she just didn't seem like she wanted to go, so I picked up one that did want to go. Rain ended up going with me.

I got a shallow bin, put some hay in it, stuck it in the passenger side of the truck, and plopped her down in it. I got in, and off we went. Now you know she didn't stay in that bin. ;) She got out, and she sat down right next to me, and seemed pleased to have me all to herself. The whole way there, she didn't poop on the seat, she was so good.

So, we pulled into the parking lot, and I picked her up and toted her in. I didn't even get in the door hardly, and you should have seen the reception I recieved. I have taken the dog, the iguana, the rabbit, and never gotten such a reaction!! It happened to be a Saturday, and so there were a lot of people in the store too.

I walked in, and this lady happened to have a camera and took several pictures. Everyone would ask to pet her, asking if she would peck at them, I said NO! She wouldn't do that. They were all amazed, kids and adults alike.

Well, I went on in and got the rabbits litter, got some dog food, and yes, got the chickens their treats. They love shelled sunflower seeds, so I get them a bag. I must have been in there for over an hour! The manager came up and ended up taking pictures of me, Rain, and the lady I always talk to (she LOVES the rabbit). I asked him what he was going to do with the pics, lol, he said he was going to get them published in the paper!!! WOW! All this over a chicken, and you know, she was an angel. She never tried to hop off the cart, she was very polite and let many hands pet her. She was so well behaved, and I was proud.

I did take some pictures, but haven't finished the roll. EG told me his camera type, he has beautiful pictures, very talented in picture taking too. I am going to go over Ians head and get one, lol. He thinks I should have a 5 pixel, but EG's looks good to me!

There was also a guy that normally worked at one of the Petsmarts further south, where there are more farm type animals, he says people have brought in their horses, pigs, goats, you name it! I had to ask about the poop factor, he said the lady that ran the horse department would clean up accidents with no complaining, because she has horses, and loves them.

I plan on taking a buff orpington next time. Maybe Sweetie Pie will let me take her. The buffs have gotten a lot friendlier this past week, they will let me pick them up without any fuss all of the sudden. Of course, I KNOW why, lol. They think I am the rooster or something, because they will do a funny squat thing when I bend over to pick them up, knowing thats not what they want, lol, but I can't help them in that department, no roosters here, would give me away.

Kelly you need to check with the Petsmart guy and see if you and Rain make it on the company's online site.
We'd love to see you two making the "big time"!!
