.....like an old fool.

(Martinsville) - It wasn't a teenager that police arrested for crashing his pickup while doing doughnuts in a school parking lot. The man arrested for driving while intoxicated is 81 years old.

Floyd Elmer Adams of Indianapolis was arrested Sunday afternoon after his pickup truck slammed into the wall of an elementary school in Martinsville. Adams wasn't hurt and the school building sustained only minor damage.

Police said his blood-alcohol level was three times the legal limit for driving in Indiana. The state trooper who arrested Adams says he's the oldest drunk he's ever had to arrest. Adams remains in the Morgan County jail.

Now, Joe, I couldda left that part out when I copied and pasted but I wanted the AP to get credit for its work. They have to pay poor old Helen Thomas somehow (speaking of old fools).
Now, hit me some more. Please.

Please Les...

Didn't your Mama teach you respect for your elders?

Poor old Helen (shaking head looking wistful)...She can't help that she has lost her mind...

But wasn't she UPI?...Last I heard she was now working for Hearst as a columnist...

Then there is her 'filibuster' at the January 9, 2003 press conference with Ari Fleischer...

OK, ok...So the 'old fool' part is correct...Still doesn't make either of us 'right' LOL...

Don't tell my Mama, eh?

Leave it to you to notice that minor distinction. I thought I could get away with it. ";^) Is there any UPI anymore?

You mean haying the lawn and cutting about 30 sapplings on Saturday last isn't enough to make him notice?

LOL...

He should see my sister (and some others) there this weekend...

I haven't seen a new conference for a while. Are you telling me dear sweet ole Helen is finally gone? ..................

BTW, the string for deer stopped working when the county installed a street light near my garden. So, I can no longer prescribe it as a deterrant. Maybe the added light, maybe they got brave, maybe they smelled the ripe corn. Whatever, they wiped me out just a day or two before the picking stage. I'd still like to come for the lobster.....gfp
