Does anyone have any info., pro or con, on Kenmore sewing machines. I am looking at a used one that is in good condition (model #15008), but I am finding it really hard to find anything on the internet on older sewing machines. My mom always had a singer when I was growing up and I don't know much about the Kenmore brand....can anyone give me some advice on them....

I have a Kenmore model # 1351 that is about 20+ years old. I have never had any trouble with it.

Dottie, my wife has a #13511 she's had for
about 20 years, and she wouldn't trade it for
anything. They are real dependable machines.

Many of Sears Kenmore products were contracted out to be built to Sears specs. and built by companies that specilized in such products. like a washing mechine underneeth everything may have been actually been made by whorlpool, or somthing like that. My mom bought a kenmore sewing machine in the 50s 06 60s it sets in my kitchen now in perfect working order yet. it is a model 117.840
