Yesterday I came home for lunch and noticed my old cabover Pete was gone. Now, I'd been thinking about getting rid of it beacuae it hasn't been on the road for almost 2 years. The only reason it was even still here was that I was keeping it for a backup in case one of the othere went down. But really, by the time we got license and insurance on it and got it ready to go, we could have had whatever was broken on the other one fixed. So I MIGHT have mentioned it in passing. Maybe.
When I got home and found it gone, I thought hey!! This is good!! Cause there was a nice latemmodel Chevy one ton truck with a utility bed full of tools in it's place!
Unfortunatly, when I left and came home again, that one was gone too. So I guessed he wasn't thinking even swap!
This morning I pulled in Norm's yard and there sat the Pete with the cab up. Seems their old truck lost it's cookies and they were needing a replacement. So he's debating whether to pull th engine out of mine and swap it into his, or just use the whole truck as is.
We really havn't seriously negotiated price yet. That's always the fun part with Norm. We've been dealing with each other for around 20 years now in various ways, sometimen I get the screwin, sometimes he gets it, but it all comes out even in the end, and we're still friends!
I guess with friends like each other, neither one of us needs enemies!!

No, I don't hate him at all. He's one of those guys you can't help but like-and so is Cliff. I just like to do a little good natured grumbling once in a while!
You'd have to live in this neighborhood to really appreciate it!
