I kinda figured we would have. Daughter saw it a couple of days ago. I told her that I wasn't surprised, just don't worry about it. It's probably a good spirit.

Do any of you's have a poltergeist at your place?

But REDNECKMAT, I like it.

I'm not scared of snakes or spooks.

So long as they don't get into my china cabinet and start breaking my good dishes then they can stay.

In a small country church near my home about 20 years ago, a lot of interest was stirred up by an image that appeared in one of the church windows. It was written up in the local papers and pictures taken. The church had been there for probably 50-75 years or more with no image in any windows. All of a sudden here is a very strong resemblance of Jesus in one of the windows. It came just before sundown every day. After lots of interest and many extra passings of the collection plate, the image just went away. I can't say exactly why, but maybe someone with more knowledge of glass can help. Good luck and I really do respect the right of all to believe as they please. I just happen to have my own ideas.

Alvin-Va Ahhh Hmmmmm    Posted 04-02-2002 at 19:28:13       [Reply]  [No Email]
Lets anny-lize the situation useing nothing but the basic facts as presented.
The apparition appeared, the plate was passed numerous times, the apparition disappeared.
Ain't no Sherlock, but my first suspect would be the good reverend.
Watson, get me the church accounts,we will also need copies of the Padres financial records.

So what does Jesus look like?    Posted 04-02-2002 at 19:10:34       [Reply]  [No Email]
Do you believe what he looked like?

Good point-I don't think Kodack had been invented,    Posted 04-03-2002 at 02:12:09       [Reply]  [No Email]
although I have seen pictures of cave drawings that predate the time period spoken of.

Would that be pics of Jesus?    Posted 04-03-2002 at 04:49:32       [Reply]  [No Email]
Or could it have been someone else? There were hundreds of gods at the time. One very popular god of the roman centurians at this time was the god Mithra.

We don't at our current place, but the last place where we lived & still own did/does. It's not just us who have encountered it; our new daughter-in-law who knew nothing about the old house went with our son to see how things were up there. He hadn't even entered the house, she started up the stairs & came running out saying she heard voices up stairs & thought there were intruders. No intruders just our non threatening residents:)
Music has been heard playing softly & objects move by themselves. Footsteps on the squeeky stairs when only one person is in the house & Not on the stairs. We find them comforting and believe the entities are there to watch over our family.
I know some will think we're odd believing in ghosts but too much has happened & too many have observed it to dismiss them.
Peace, Kathy
I don't know if it matters but there are two small children buried on the land.

Verbose    Posted 04-02-2002 at 19:16:32       [Reply]  [No Email]
Thanks Kathy. It's interesting that just because we have a negro spirit that lives in the house, that some "dear heart" (christian no doubt) just somehow knows that we are full of demons.........

Ignorance wears on me.

No poltergeists here, but we do feel the presene of an occassional spirit. Those who don't believe make light of a situation which none of us really understand, and those of us who do believe are labeled as crazy.

We can't deny what we've seen or heard with our own eyes and ears.

And we don't have to be on the hooch.

If you planted by the signs, you wouldn't have that problem.

You can keep them from coming around by placing mothballs in open trays in places where they are seen.

Uh, wait, that's MICE I'm thinking of. Never mind.

Mike - have known several people that    Posted 04-02-2002 at 06:52:23       [Reply]  [No Email]
while on their death beds have seen & talked with loved ones and friends that have gone before them. I've heard many folks tell of seeing others from another realm. They say that it is a thin veil that seperates us from the other side.
There are many stories about people that have been helped through hard times and difficult circumstances by angels. Children in hospitals that have seen a caring nurse at their bedside when no adult can see them.
Knew a man that had nearly drowned, but was pulled ashore by an indian in a canoe. Eyewitnesses said he floated up to shore like he was being tugged, but no canoe.
Can't say what I'd do if I saw a spirit. But I'd sure like it to be a friendly one like Verbose must have at their place. Might just say something about your homelife. Peaceful I'd bet.

I saw one for a couple of days once, - PCC-AL    Posted 04-02-2002 at 06:41:19       [Reply]  [No Email]
and when it left, I told Leroy I wasn't ever gonna buy any more shine from him.

Salmoneye    Posted 04-02-2002 at 06:28:17       [Reply]  [Send Email]
I have not seen one in years here but have in the past.

My 4 year old daughter used to see my Great Uncle that died in 1980 all the time. Used to ride in the back seat of the car with her and she would chat with him.

I think all kids see them but they 'grow out of it'.

I have seen other stuff over the years that has no rational explanation so that is why I stopped trying to explain.

There is more to heaven and earth than we can ever know while on this plane...

Fire Away...

That reminds me of when our oldest son was three or four years old. He had an imaginary friend that he called Donny. We couldn't figure out how he came up with this name for his imaginary friend. Until I got to thinking about the little grave yard just over the hill from our place. There was a child buried there by the name of Donald Blakley.

what's that sayin?

the mind is like a parachute; it only works if it's open.

Yepper, there's lots of things goin on, most of which takes place in another dimension and can't be detected with all our senses.

I believe whatever you say, but I ain't sending no money.    Posted 04-02-2002 at 06:07:17       [Reply]  [No Email]

Too much salsa & chips will make you see things at night. That an drinkin the sauce. Too much of any one thing will drive a body off-center. Aw heck, I read that crazy people will even put used toilet paper in a pail to keep from missing the smell when they flush. Like that other person asked: you rubbed up against them horses yet?

Why can't you id yourself? RU chicken?    Posted 04-02-2002 at 06:24:41       [Reply]  [No Email]

I thought I'd find a picture of you in the vintage photos section but you've not uploaded it yet.

Why not?
