We took our family to New Mexico last year. It was one of our kid's first trip to the desert. We told her the entire 18 hour drive that we were going to a special State Park that lets us Jackalope hunt at night. She was so excited the whole way down there. We walked around the park looking at all the Indian dwelling and kept talking about how you have to Jackalope hunt (kinda like Snipe hunting). Just as the sun was going down she was so excited to see one that she started her little head-bobbing and Jackalope calling (that we made up). After about 20 minutes of laughing our selves into a fit, we finally broke the news that Jackalopes aren't real.

Needless to say we had one REALLY mad little girl. I am not sure if she was mad because she thought they were real or because we made her dance around the forest looking like an escapee from the nuthouse.

Here's one I got while I was passing thru Arkansas. He only weighed 82 pounds but had already put down 3 of my best dobermans.

I got that one with a hickory switch. I don't use firearms. That takes all the sportsmanship out of it if ye shoot and animal.
