American love affair...

...with cars. Most here know about my love affair and broken heart after losing my 1969 Chevy Malibu. I loved it the most of any car I have owned. I did get to thinking of other cars I have loved or hated.

I had a 1962 Ford galaxy that everyone but me loved. A friend kept the local Ford dealership's books and got us a good deal on this gently and previously owned Galaxy. It was too good a deal to pass up. Everyone loved that car but me. I got compliments on it regularly. What I did not like about it was the color, turquoise blue!
It was a very good car and it had a paint finish to die for if it had only been red like the one in this picture! I never have wanted a blue car.

I look back now and realize it was a beautiful, fine car! I never appreciated it. I traded it in on that brand new shiny apple red Malibu about three years later.

Toolman..I bought a nice 1970 Nova a few years back but ran out of money to fix it up. I like a small car that a small block Chevy 8 will push along fast.Nova is a good one.
