About a month or so ago we traded a car off. Today just for $h!ts and giggles we went through the lot. This is a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, 46,000 miles, an all around nice car. We just found this truck we liked better. Anyway, the window sticker has a price tag of $13,995.Shocked
This is a dealer that has one of those "absolute best price" posted on the car. Their "best" price?

My question people really think they are getting that good of a deal? My wife bought this car before we were married, and I know she paid $12,900 for it then...3 years ago.
Who are they fooling? Not me...Baring Teeth Now, I think the $7850 price isn't bad at all, considering they only gave us $5800 plus they had to put 4 new tires on and fix a dent. I'm not complaining about their actual sale prices, I am complaining about the tactics they use.
"Look honey, it's marked down over $6100.00! It must be a heck of a deal!"
Oh Please... Shoot Me

ok, rant over...

Some fool could pay the highest marked price. If it wasnt for fools the dealers would get real skinny.

You sure summed it up there...

"Some fool could...."

They used to not charge for things like wipers.spare tires, jacks.. The thing that makes them fat and sassy is the kind who take their side on the wheelbarrow tire for a spare. You dont believe folks will step up to bat for these crooks? HELLO!! Anybody like the idea of a wheebarrow tire for a spare?

No kidding on the doughnut spares! What is the cost difference? $20.00?
On a what? $30,000 car? yup, I can see where that extra $20.00 would change their mind....Huh? Oh Jeez

I DO NOT LIKE the presence next to me of one of those IDIOTS that drive on a “doughnut” on the interstate at 70MPH!!! And there too many that do!!!

Now somebody could say. There is no room for a real tire in the trunk.

I used to get mad about doughnut spares, but then I realized that in over 20 years of driving, I have had only 2 flats. I saved way more than $20 bucks in gas in that time by having a lighter spare.
