Iodine stains...any cure other than time?

Had to treat my mule this morning for (hopefully early case) thrush.

Used 7% tincture of iodine and got it all over one hand. 4 soap/detergent cleanings and two mechanic's handcleaner cleanings later, my hand is still reddish brown.

Any way to get rid of the stain (yep, I'm going to buy plastic gloves as soon as the stores open).

Hey Tom -
This doesn't do the best on skin but it sure helps. It works real good on clothes and the like.

you might laugh at this one, but remember my grandpa said tobacco juice would make it go away, just afeared of what else may be in the tobacco juice these days. John,,

Not that I know of. It will wear off pretty quick.

Was afraid of that (about the iodine).

:-) Knock wood--so far them burrycrats has staid'lly hopin' I'll move or die soon so they can 'take care of' the yunger generashun.
