Yo toolman...a sure fire way top get rid of hornets...take a 5 gla pail...fill it bout 1/2 way with water and add a few squirts of dish washing liquid, thi swill float ont eh top....acros the top of the pail/bucket..hang a small dead fish, usually put a stick(dowel) through the fish and rest the stick on each side of teh bucket,,hornets will eat till they are full and drop in the water...this works for true hornets and I have used it in teh past,,gets ride of em in a few days

Toolman! Toolman! Toolman! scence when have you missed a good excuse to step back from work. Wait till after dark then douse the nest with brake cleener or wasp and hornet spray or carb cleener. You know the idea just wait till after dark when thay are all setteled down and in the nest.

can,t do it like that , i have spray that i usually blast them with but it is in the hay barn and i can,t get stuff all over the horses hay, so i removed the big nest this morin and squashed a bunch of them but the rest are hanging aroung trying to rebuild, and i need them gone i need to put in more hay and they are right at the barn door entrance, my patience is running out and my forehead is a hurtin, now im about to bring out the heavy guns, figure i can always rebuild the wall easier than my foerhead, sides it stings a bit when them boogers hit ya.
