Is there any way to view the archives by post date rather than by title, and is there any way to see page "5" or "6" from the recent postings?

There was a recent posting that I wanted to refer to, but can't remember the title.

I don't see a way to refine the searches. If it comes back with more than 100 hits, you can't scroll through the dates past the initial page that comes up, and can't give a command to list the most recent postings with your word in it. Or am I missing something?

I have also tried to refer back to a message I had posted by doing a search for "Judy in NC", (without the quotation marks), but it doesn't bring any of my postings up. I must be doing something wrong. I tried the same search for other poster's names and it brought them up.

I'm rather new to message boards, so perhaps I am overlooking something obvious. I looked to the column on the left to try to find some related instructions, and didn't find any.

Thank you both so much for your replies.

Though fairly new to message boards, I am fairly good at figuring things out, so I didn't think I was just overlooking an available option.

I will email Kim.

I should put this on a new thread, but since you replied, Lenore, I have a question for you...

I can't get this song out of my head - an old Johnny Cash song - I've Been Everywhere, Man.

I've tried to figure out how to download it off the net - any suggestions? I don't particularly want a copy of it to keep, but it brings back some good memories.

Thanks again,
Judy in NC

You're unbelievable, Lenore! Thank you!
When I opened your reply, it said I needed to download Windows Media Player, so I am doing that now - says it will take over an hour!

When you have posted songs in the past, they have opened right up for me. Is this one a different format?

I am looking forward to coming back after the download.

Thanks again,
Judy in NC

P.S. I have emailed Kim, and will let everyone know if she has any new info to this problem.

Judy, did you try pressing the far left start button on the little player?
Ocassionally I have had to do that.
If it still does not work you might try downloading the newest version of Windows Media Player.
Hope that helps.

I lost my connection during the download (update for Windows Media Player). I ended up rebooting, and when I came back it started right up for me.

Thank you sooo much for sharing this, Lenore. It made my day!

Hope you had a great church service this evening. Ours is tomorrow night.

I just noticed under my start menu that I already have Windows Media Player. I have opened that program, but the file still isn't playing for me.

I'm missing something.

The archives just seem to have things from 2002 and back.
More recent posts are not available, once they get off page four they seem to be lost in space.
I also would reccommend you email Kim the site owner and enquire about it.
If you do find out how to do it please post here and let us know.
Since Kim switched servers it has not worked and that has been several months ago.

Hi Judy.

At present time I dont think so? Kim our moderator had switched servers and we have been having trouble retreeving the more recent postings going back maybe a year or so thay dont seem to be reconized by the search engine. I think she has been working on it? Maybe it would be best for you to press the report to moderator button and send her an Email asking her your question. Let us know how you make out.
