Remote Heater Controls?

I thought i was being clever when i installed a timer on my water heater - we don't use that much so i just have it run 1 hour/day and it's good enough for a shower or whatever. (Saves a buncha juice and the heater fits my cellar.)
Well the young couple who bought Suzn's old cabin are going to have a handy gizmo: If they decide to come up for the weekend, they'll be able to make a phone call, poke some magic numbers and the gas heater will start & warm it up for them. If they change their mind, they can shut it off or moniter temp or adjust it with another call. Even from a cellphone in their car! For a guy who heats with wood, i swear this stuff done passed me a long time ago. Is a remote girl to get drunk & party for me, too much to ask? :)
