Wife's got her guard meeting this weekend which means I either got to fix my own breakfast or go to town.

i have to write a report/essay for school that talks about women being in the military. I don't really know what to write about, so i would love to get some ideas from everyone. The paper is supposed to talk about why women should and shouldn't be in the military.

thanks for the help. I am so proud of how brave and wonderful yall are.

thanks again

well i think they should because women are also strong and also capable of doing anything men can. (:

women should not be in the military cause they are sluts. I am married to a sgt and he went to Iraq while I was here taking care of his mother and working for our two kids he was all about coming home to his family but there is this one girl name tiffany gillis had to keep sluting her stuff around trying to get my husband into bed with her well with all the pressure with Iraq and problems at home he did it. well he is home right now I was stupid to take him back cause I thought he changed now she is still over there trying to ruin another couples family. watch out to all military wifes and well thats why I dont think women should be in the military they are supost to help the country not do all of our husbands.

I did a paper on the negative attributes of women in the military. from research I found this is why individuals are saying that women should not be in the military:

sexual tension in the battlefield
needed at home-children-husband etc
weaker in physical strength
too emotional-menstral issues-hormonal-stress easy
endanger the safety of men since their natural instinct is to protect women
women take focus off of the war itself
sexual harrassment issues-rape-abuse
cant do all tasks that men are required to perform
etc etc
look on there you will find books online; regarding women in the military

my moms is in the military and she is a better
shooter than some of the men there she can
load a gun faster than some of the men there i
think its good that some women wants to be
in the military because it shows how strong
they are .

First of all, I'm sick and tire of every bogus bragging about who's gonna take care of who. u know what Pat, it's a shame that u can comment this. Maybe u should take a few camping lesson that will teach you how to support yourself and to survive in the wild just in case if your wife pass away, end up in hospital for months, or anything that will or what will happen to u I dunno and I don't want know. I'm sure u know how to catch a few fish, and maybe u'll learn how to make some food for yourself to fill up your stomach! My point here is that If u can comment this about whether your wife going to the military, maybe you should comment about what is going to happen to your wife besides going to the military first! besides, if anything does happen to your wife, not just who is gonna support u, but u'll also need to take care of your kids like your wife use to do for u!

Second, not just for kraig, may some of u should should read more newspaper and learn more about the military first before even judging it. Military ain't just about war or carrying guns and rush out to shoot, during peace time, Military patrol the coast, borders, and other countries' land to maintain peace. Military is also for education opportunities, there are all kinds of people in the military, and there are engineers, scientists and even doctors and lawyers in the military studying about technology such as nuclear technology, computer technology, mechanicals, and medicals not just all, there are also journalists, writers, and accountant in the military too! they look for career there. and military also encourage people to continue their educations and want them to have a degree. that is why it's a educational opportunity.

Third, I also see this that is a fact about discrimination not just about women in the military, but it also count as a discrimination about women choosing their careers. I know most of your don't understand about the military, and maybe most of your never been there, if u never read the newspaper, and/or been there, don't even judge about it first! Military treats everyone equal, there is no men of women in the military, there are Airmen in Air Force, Soldiers in Army and Marine Corps, and Sailors in Navy and Coastguard. when men do as much, women also do as much. if u bragging and whining about yourselves "Oh, I'm a woman, I can't do this, I can't do that, I don't wanna blah blah blah." or "Oh, I'm a man, I'm better than women blah blah blah whatever blah blah blah." guess what. not just the military, but I will feel pity for u! If some of your reading this, Think about it

I know when my wife goes away , if it is to visit her family or mine and is gonna be away for the weekend,, she makes dinners and such puts them in the fridge, marks them and gives instructions for heating and such, she knows i would not eat if she did not do that, she is definalty a keeper, I would be lost with out her, and besides this is what I got married for,{17 years this week} if I could cook I wouldnt have had too....hahahaha,,, me in the kitchen????? cant and wont happen,, can any one say starve???
that would be me....
btw so everyone dont get really mad, my wife was in the reserves for years before and a lil after we got married, but i was living closer to my family then, then she is just my wife now, much happier hahahahah

Some of these wemen came down on me when I started the post. In fact if my wife caught me fooling around in her kitchen she's take a switch to me. I normally get by with frozen burettos and fried beloney sandwitches so I do miss her cooking

I think that we should have a all female army. 10,000 screaming women with PMS coming at you, the foes wouldn't stand a chance!!!!!

Kevin Bean    Posted 04-06-2004 at 08:15:16       [Reply]  [Send Email]

Rainna    Posted 05-08-2003 at 12:51:38       [Reply]  [Send Email]
No doubt! Men are scared of women when they're PMSing anyway. Who's to say that the enemy wouldn't be afraid?

were there no men mentality, there'd be no need for any military.

Women don't start wars.

I was in the Guard from '79 to '92. I think it's about time my wife went and served like I did. Course I was also in the USMC but I'll overlook that. I don't want no Jarhead for a wife. Dogface would be bad enough.

kraig WY    Posted 04-06-2002 at 10:33:39       [Reply]  [No Email]
Wasn't too bad when we were both in. I retired from the guard after nearly 25 years between the regular army and guard. She's got about 21 years and is waiting for her 20 year letter so she can get out. She don't like it anymore then I do but at this point in the game it would be crazy not to wait for the retirement. I enjoyed the guard but after you go so far you become a high paid clerk and don't get to have fun.

Hogman--- THAT WONDERFUL LETTER    Posted 04-06-2002 at 18:12:09       [Reply]  [No Email]
Tis a relief for sure and good that She has 21 in befor makin Her request.
I realy was in a sweat on Mine as My records were at both St Looie and at the Presidio When both places had Their fires, I hope She has maintained Her own 201 file, sure good insurance.

kraig WY    Posted 04-06-2002 at 20:20:37       [Reply]  [No Email]
She's got her ducks in order. I think she has a copy of all her pay records and keeps them straight. I lucked out when I got my 20 year letter. I did't have any records but I got THE LETTER so I'm good to go when I turn 60.

Sammie- aw, poor guy    Posted 04-06-2002 at 07:47:48       [Reply]  [No Email]

Hmmmm...Maybe you could go to McDonalds or how about your moms maybe she would feel sorry for ya. I'm sure all the guys at the local tavern will feel for ya. How about there maybe if you put all of your brains together you can figure out how to make it through a few days. Oh yeah and I think that you can find some cheese at the local grocers it will go great with your wine!!!!! Lotsa luck!!!

kraig WY    Posted 04-06-2002 at 09:19:06       [Reply]  [No Email]
We'll the problem is the nearest McDonalds in 70 miles away, my mother live 1,100 miles away, and I'm 10 miles from town. Didn't mean to start a fuss. What I was saying is I got spoiled with my wife's cooking and although neither of us work off the farm (except for the NG) and we live alone (all the kids are grown) I still miss my wife when she ain't around.

Sammie    Posted 04-06-2002 at 16:57:33       [Reply]  [No Email]
I think it's sweet that you miss her. Makes you appreciate her more when she IS there!! lol Maybe you will take some time to help her out in the kitchen and learn how to cook something so you don't starve while she is gone?

Michele    Posted 04-06-2002 at 18:59:12       [Reply]  [Send Email]
didn't start a fuss here just makin a point that there was no point whining. On the other hand its good to know that some of us wives are appreciated!!!
