Hey Clod,

Since this thing you've been trying doesn't seem to work, why don't you make an online photo album for free?

Someone - I don't remember who - suggested you to try photobucket.

You could also make your own free website with a photo album on it. I could help you creating your own website ( for free of course ) Let me know ...

Gerrit PR    Posted 08-03-2004 at 04:59:49       [Reply]  [No Email]

I just signed up at photobucket and uploaded a picture. It's simple like 1 2 3. Signing up requires a username a password and an email address.
Then you get an activation email and have to click the link in that mail and your album is there. Submitting a picture is easy also. you can browse your computer for the picture you want to upload, click submit and the pic is online..
Then the only thing you have to do is copy the url that is displayed under the picture and copy it here in the 'Optional URL Image URL' and there you go..

Here the pic I uploaded, my beautiful daughter Regien :-)

Try it out!

When I try to learn something I go to the library to get books only on the subject I need.Big books with all the info i need. But around here the books are not that technical. See Dick and Jane dont help me much. Thanks .. I'll find another way and try later.

It works!

Two tips:

1. Try to make the pics you want to post smaller. You can do that with 'paint' which comes with windows or another graphical program.

2. I f you save black and white pictures, like this drawing, try to save them as 'gif' . Color pictures are best saved as 'jpg'

To illustrate this, I reduced the height and the width of your picture to 25% of the original values and saved it as a 'gif' picture.

The result is here. The file size is reduced from 10.7 Mb to 21.1 Kb ( roughly 500 times smaller! ) The visibility on this board is better and it loads lightning fast!

Thanks Gerrit.. I will save the info you posted. I suspect my drawing was visable and you just retrived it to do the mod? Thats the down side of this operation.I can see the picture on my PC but nobody else does.

Gerrit PR    Posted 08-03-2004 at 12:24:34       [Reply]  [No Email]
Right Clod, the pic was visible and I saved it here, did the mod and uploaded it to one of my websites to show it it on this board.

Well,if you use Bobduck's site - like you did, it works so stay with that method..
