My dear son decided that he wanted to start school earlier than we had planned. That's a good sign!! :0)

He's working on Math now as I'm typing away. Our local school district starts this Thursday. Can't believe they are starting earlier and earlier each year. Seems like we always started the day after Labor Day and still got out in the first week in June. I guess it's all the teach erinservice/work days, and newer holidays that we didn't have off when I was in school.

Anyhow, really proud of my boy for taking the initiative to go ahead and start.

He's a good son...but, of course, I'm a bit biased! He's also working for the neighbor helping with yardwork and farm work to buy a 1992 Ford F150 from them. He's only 13, so I think his work ethic is pretty good.

Y'all have a great day! :0)

Congrads on the son. Seems alot of kids now think a car is an inalienable right that comes from pitching a fit til they get one.

when I was a lad our school let out at the end of May and started after Labor Day, plus we only had to go half a day til the 1st of December. That was for cotton picking and getting the corn in.
