depends on the market, certainly cash if yer buyin'
Flea Markets are truely one mans junk another man's treasure. I wouldn't buy or even think to sell used clothing and bedding, but at some markets that sells well. Old tools sell well almost everywhere, except in high priced yuppie neighborhoods. They don't know what tools are for, can't do crap with their hands. At some old glasswear and knickknacks go well. Some markets won't allow the sale of guns and ammo, (gotta watch the state and federal laws for that anyway) Don't want to go to jail for selling a shotgun to an out of state felon. I went to a flea market near Crossville Tenn and couldn't believe how well used car parts sold. Best way to learn is by visiting and watching. Best deal I ever got was a 200 yr old Pa Long rifle for $40.00 it was sitting under the guy's table, somebody told him old guns didn't sell well and it wasn't worth much because it didn't have a patch box. That was in Wash DC. where few people would expect to even see a gun for sale, and most wouldn't want it.

A pair of comfortable "running" shoes in case you stay long...
...or in case you need to flee. LOL

I like that--larger image possible. Most flee markets have a large number of these but never saw one for sale. Shucks things like that should never enter my mind but that is what I go to flee markets for.

Is that you in the photo    Posted 08-05-2004 at 10:45:47       [Reply]  [No Email]

Anything you want to get rid of. There are regional preferences like out west they aren't real big on clothing and up here that's a hot item, but everybody looks at fools gold or a rusty jackknife. :)
