Drag and drop!

I put together a few CSS links for your perusal. The list got kinda' long so I put it in an email to you.

If anyone else is interested I'll post the list here. Not trying to be stingy, just trying to save space with an [OT] post.

Recently one of my friends, a computer wizard, paid me a visit. I mentioned that I had recently installed Windows on my PC, told him how happy I was with this operating system and showed him the Windows CD. To my astonishment and distress he threw it into my micro-wave oven and turned it on.

I was upset because the CD had become precious to me, but he said "Do not worry, it is unharmed." After a few minutes he took the CD out, gave it to me and said "Take a close look at it."

To my surprise the CD was quite cold and it seemed to have become thicker and heavier than before. At first I could not see anything, but on the inner edge of the central hole I saw an inscription, in lines finer than anything I have ever seen before. The inscription shone piercingly bright, and yet remote, as if out of a great depth.

"I cannot read the fiery letters," I said. "No," he said, "but I can. The letters are Hex, of an ancient mode, but the language is that of Microsoft, which I shall not utter here. But in common English this is what it says"

"One OS to rule them all, One OS to find them
One OS to bring them all and in the darkness bind them."

Good one!    Posted 08-08-2004 at 11:23:23       [Reply]  [No Email]

How've you been George, everything all right?

I just started working on that new website I told you about. The whole color scheme has to be changed ( again...)
Right now I'm cleaning up the code first, you know, everything in CSS, trying to avoid tables, so I can make changes in the colors etc. easier.. It takes some time but it is worth the effort.

I just found a great drop down menu system, entirely in CSS - well a little bit of JavaScript, but that doesn't hurt...

Check it out... On this site are lots of really interesting articles for web developers.

Yes I've visited ALA many times. Lots of good info there. Give me a minute and I'll track down a few others you might enjoy.

One comes to mind easily. The Moose is absolutely awesome with CSS.

Navigation on web sites is not always easy.Often you run down an alley where the gate behind you closes and you are forced to read advertizing. If you look long enough you may find your way on to the destination.Yahoo does that a lot as does Microsoft. It is kind of like locking you in a room so you have to read all the advertisments. Those popup signs are fun too..The question is asked so that you have to study awhile to reject the offer.Im going to the laundry. I got my cookpot installed in my van. This is a small one to make coffeee with.See you guys later,,Going to drag and drop my laundry.
