Bat Houses

I read once that in placing a bat house it would be best to have it face a certain direction (perhaps South?). On the instructions that came with the house it didn't say; only to place it high.

Any one know for sure? Thanks

Here is a link that may help on the conditions. Thay may not find it the first year. and should be at least 20 feet high.

I think you face it south so the little bats don't freeze in the winter. And don't stand under it. Bat guano is good for fertilizing your garden but not for your hair. ;)
