Kelly's dirty laundry

Just got a chance to read Kelly GA.'s post about her friend.
How dare you post that on a country site?? Don't you know that spousal abuse and divorce are strictly a city problem? Doesn't your friend know that if she only moved far enough out in the country, all of these problems would just disapear?
It's seldom that I apologize for the things I do, but somehow I almost feel the need to make amends for the stupid things that were said on your post, by others.
I do know that if that should ever be me, and my wife, I would hope that my best friend would take my wife and child into his home, give them shelter and protection from me, and keep a gun loaded just in case I decided to do what this nut is capable of.
Don't back down Kelly, remain her friend, support her, and should the need arise,, whack that puppy in the head with a baseball bat. (they're easier to destroy than a gun)

I want to thank everybody for backing me up on this. I have been here with all y'all for two and a half years now, and I felt comfortable enough to talk about it with y'all. When I was shot down, I faltered, but then I got a resurgence of support from everybody and it restored my love for this board, and I want to thank everybody for that. I know you have to wear a thick skin sometimes, and I do, but I was just surprised that anyone would speak out against me talking about it. I don't think he meant it the way it came out, and he didn't understand the danger and severity of this particular situation.

By the way, he backed out of having lunch today, used the excuse that his car was still in the hsop, which it is, and she was going to drive to lunch, so I don't know what the problem was. He is just stalling.

Thankyou all for being such good hearted people. Each and every one of you. :)

Kelly, there is always two sides to any divorce story. Rarely is either side completely in the right or completely wrong.

What you are doing is supporting your friend, and that can't be wrong.

Divorce is hard on all involved, I hope that guy learns to deal with it before he does something stupid. Unfortunately, the kids usually pay the price for the parents battles.

Nicely said Ron. I second that motion. I sure hope I'd have a friend that Kelly if I were ever in that situation.

Besides....    Posted 08-10-2004 at 09:07:46       [Reply]  [No Email]
Something else to think about, as long as we 'keep quiet' about dirty laundry, it gives it a chance to pile up and pile up! I say pile it out in the opening, and give it a dang good cleaning!!! How many times have we read or heard about a particularly vicious domestic situation that ended in a blood bath... and neighbors or witnesses said, "Oh, we had heard them fight or argue, but never thought it would come to this!!" Well... Kelly knows, and ...... defense of friends is about as country as flea markets, isn't it? Never heard a livin' soul say don't post about no flea markets!! (Nor should they!) JB
