Wasp attack update.

The swelling seems to have gone down a little; at least it has stopped spreading.
The itching is not as bad if I do not touch it or rub it against anything.
I can not wear a watch until it is better, it seems to agravate it and increase the swelling when I wear one.

Thanks to everyone who offered advice and grins.
Thanks Clod for your prayers, I really appreciate that.

Maggie, I think I will have okra and tomatoes today. I feel a little hesitant about refreezing it after it was used as an ice pack on my wrist.

Glad to hear we'll still have you to kick around - i mean chat with. BTW if the itching gets bad, that benadryl WILL let you sleep better too. But too much of it makes one cranky. My mom was given benadryl every 2 hours and one day she wheeled herself into the nursing home hallway & called a repairman every name in the book - then she called the cops in the middle of the night and reported a murder and a few minutes later the desk attendant got to calm down an armed swat team! Well they took her off that stuff and she became her matronly self again. Oh it's fun raising parents sometimes. :)

Well, shoot dang! I take it you didn't use the plaintain poltice? I was hoping you had, for the mention of it had brought back a vague recollection of a plantain remedy, being used by some hospital, for back ache instead of surgery. (I don't remember any particulars of the treatment.) But, I was hoping you would be the guinea pig on a wasp sting/plantain treatment! O well....

That plantain suggestion reminds me of when everybody laughed at the foreign legionnaire recruit for getting real friendly with the ugly camel and he reminded them that he was acting on their advice. They replied "Yeah we use the camel but we usually ride it into town where the girls are!"
So what exactly was lenore supposed to do with a green banana? lol

an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
