Train Whistle

I read a story recentlty of a man who makes train whistles out of pvc pipe, They run off of compreesed air. Does anyone have any idea on how to make your own. He wanted $100 for his but i would like to make my own. Thanks!

Send me your email address and i will send you the plans i have for a 6 chime whistle.

I built mine and used just 5 chimes SOUNDS AWESOME!

PS even you dont want plans, DONT USE air compressor to power it! Not enough volume of air.....use your shop vac on exhaust!! it has lots of volume and makes mine sing!

I just ran across your desire to get the blueprints for making a
four chime train whistle. I have such blueprints made out of PVC.
I have yet to make it, and paid $18.00 + 2.00 for shipping
If you are still interested, please contact me and I'll make a copy
& send them to you for what I paid for the blueprints.

Hi I'am looking for blueprints to make a 4 note train whistle out of PVC powered by air. If anyone can help me it would be great. I'am in a stringband in the philadelphia new years day parade. Our stringbands theme is TRAINS we would like to build a train whistle.

I saw the article in the latest Farm Show magazine and like you am curious as to how they are made. I would like to make one but, would not want to pay $100 plus shipping. If you ever find out how please let us know.

I assume that the PVC ones are on this design...

Danged if I can find any info on doing it with compressed air and PVC though...
