I would love to have one of these. The airplane that is, I already have the woman.
This is a Dehavland (sp) Bever. It is a real work horse like the N tractor. I have flown in several and it's big brother the Otter. This one was used for forest fire fighting. The tanks setting on top of the floats could be filled while taxing on water. Then dumped by rolling the tank over in the air. This plane is in The Bush Plane Museum in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

The US Army had Otters and Bevers.I rode in both. They were good for short rough strips.I saw one Otter land on one landing gear.He kept it up on one wheel untill the speed died down then it kinda circled around.The pilot was not injured.They were great planes but slow and easy targets.
