I wonder if this verse from the Muslim bible, the Koran, worries any of them? Note the verse number.
Recieved it in an email this morning,

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)

Koran ( 9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

I stand corrected on my post above, I was not surprised to find it was another hoax/urban legend.
However, this is not a hoax or anything close to it. Remember that Saddam Hussien was trying to restore ancient Babylon to it's earlier glory?
I find this interesting:
Isaiah 13:19-22
And Babylon. the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorah,
It sahll never be inhabitated, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there, neither shall the shepards make fold there.
But the wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there and satyrs shall dance there.
And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolute houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.
By 20 BC the writer/historian described Babylon as a vast desolation.
Just thought I'd share that with you all, for no particular reason at all:^)

It's a HOAX! E-mail chain letter that's been going around for a long time.

Not to be a wiseguy but i can't find that. In fact there's apparently no mention of eagle in the koran atall. :) Koran 9.11

I started to insert a note that I had not researched the accuracy of that. As I stated, I recieved it in an email. You can hear anything on the net. Thanks for the correction DC, you getting any cold weather up there yet? We have had an unusually cool July and August.

Yup we only had a week of hot weather about 4th of july, then it went right into 70/50 or lower. Haven't quite seen frost yet but the leaves are starting to drop so i guess they've been twisted enough. Nice enough tho, outside of the pesky wind that sends me out of the lake and downriver. Fish are hitting late this year in a bit deeper water but they're there - oh yeah. :)
