Had a good time this week-end at the old engine show. Lots of tractors, old machinery . blacksmithing. harnass making ,steam engine railroad pouring bells in a foundary set up .plus all the music .
Sat.night had 17 family members at out table at one of the places they were playing old time music and sq dances .The youngest was 9 and the oldest was 70 all laughing having a good time with each other . From Here , Indiana, Penn ,Florida and Hawaii. Looked like a used car lot at my place Sunday morning as all the out of towners stayed here .
Only knew how to do a few of the sq dance calls and got all screwed up on them but had a good time as all the people watching us did.
Kidding one of the callers We sure made you look good didn't we? His daughter ended up sitting at our table and found out they were from Reed city about 70 mile south . Some of them would have a walk thru but with a couple of our group, that didn't even. help .
I went over there Sat about two and it looked like a hour wait to get in. The cars were lined up a mile back two wide just to get in . So I turned around came home for and hour or two then tried it again and drove right in and found a spot to park close to the gate as at that time many were leaving too .
