was just readin the posts down below about the olympics, i can honestly say i haven,t watched any of it, canada you see don,t send its best , if they did all us couch potatoes would be there instead we send and fund these JOCKS and whatever the wimmen equlivanent would be JOCKESS MAYBE????, well anyways i read somewhere that these finely trained and tuned, fit as a fiddle athletes have massed an overwhelmenly 4 medals it total, no if thats true i susbect that something is amiss either they are not gettin enough support from the government as they claim or their drugs just aren,t up to world standards either way , i could careles and reccomend that they grow up get a job and go play local sports.go canada go, did they really get 4 whole medals/somebody should do some dope testin i think.

Hi Toolman,

As you know I don't post over here much but I thought I'd chime in on this one.

I think that the Canadian display at the olympics is discusting. Heck when I saw the listings last night I counted 3 countries that I had never even heard of that had more medals then us. I tend to agree that the goobermint funding is below par.

Yep we got fast wheel chair racers, tough wimmins and flippy floppy fa ........ alternate lifestyle men..........not that theres anthing wrong with that.

It's a proud time to be Canadian!!!

hey trev , you should post over here more often , fine bunch here,i have to disagree with you on that funding though, i figure if you can,t do the job you should be out and let some who are really interested give it a try, some of these coachs , and athletes, these people look at it as a position for life and nobody to demand any type of preformance results from them, they only have to be somewhat accountable every four years as i see it , when the puplic starts asking why no medals, in a few weeks we forget and everything returns to normal, taxpayers money is wasted again, i know they don,t get a whole lot but combined with advertising and appearences im sure they do pretty good and don,t get all muddy and such at work.

I Think, I missed the only legal Olympic porn. The wimmins volley ball games. Oh boy, Being a good old boy when I want to be: but, then now and then how I can get engrossed in thems wimmes sporty volleys.

Just who the heck decides what sports are in the Olympics. Indoor and outdoor Volleyball, a gazillion different swimming events that few people give a hoot about. No coverage of the shooting, archery and equestrian events. The only events I'm interested in.
On the brighter note, I understand rodeo, will be one of the trial events for the next summer Olympics. I'd like to see Hamm and that Korean compete on a real horse. Not that fake thing called a pommel horse. Maybe they should bring back, taurokathapsia. (Ancient Crete sport in which participants charged an angered bull and vaulted off the horns of the animal. The winner was the one who flipped highest and didn't get killed.) See them gymnastics fellas cavort during the floor excercise, seems like a sport made for gay guys. How about shooting from the back of a horse as it jumps into and swims across a river? Or maybe tether ball skeet?

i volunteered burr but i guess theres a shortage of drugs for the althetes, seems the poly tic uns done took too many , maybe thats what explains their grandiose statements about all them jobs they say they created, and all the good these tax cuts are doin us, must be good stuff, ifin it can get people to belive that shut, maybe they should quit takin it and pass it along to us , then MAYBE JUST MAYBE we might belive them, ya spoose?NAW.

Drugs may be the only way to go.

I quit trying to figger out polytix 4 year ago when the folks in Mizery voted a dead man in over John Ashcroft.

It gets kinda scarey when ratwingers have more faith in a dead demogog than they have in somebody our fearless leader appointed as our national persecuter.

RN    Posted 08-23-2004 at 18:19:42       [Reply]  [No Email]
Burhead: Remember 'Mizery' voter's for dead man were the Democrats. Democrats in New York were advised to vote for a dead man also about two election cycles back. Ratwingers (night shift working batty people?) tend to prefer to vote for living candidates, 'Liberals' advise vote for liberal democrat dead or alive. Perhaps they watch Romero zombies movies before elections? RN

Burrhead    Posted 08-23-2004 at 18:40:56       [Reply]  [No Email]
LMAO the fact is the dead man won the popular vote anyway.

RN    Posted 08-23-2004 at 19:11:11       [Reply]  [No Email]
After dead man won election- Democrats got his widow to take the office, Ashcroft was available for appointment as AG, Liberals started cussing some more after 9/11. Liberals don't like to explain how they help enable hijackers by denying pilots arms in the late 60's on to recent armed pilot program. Ralph Nader statement on MSNBC column indicates he was in favor of Isreali pattern programs and would have sued for strong doors and other Isreali flight procedures. Lieing Al Gore took votes from Ralph Nader. RN
