As you know, I weedwhacked our pet toad and cut his leg pretty bad. I was worried that he would die from his injuries.
Well, I didn't see him personally, but I did have a big toad poop in my garage this morning. And I know his poop!! So I am convinced he is still alive and well.

I know his poop because it is huge, and when I first started seeing it around I didn't know what kind it was. I even asked people about it and to look at it. My brother is pretty outdoorsy and he didn't even know what it was. BUT after awhile it was only in the places that the Toad stayed at night. So I figured that it was Toad poop.

I feel alittle better now knowing he is still alive.

I know the feeling of relief when you set eyes again. We babied an injured young deer all winter - he'd been shot and had a busted front shoulder - and took it some hay & corn - and the little guy was on the mend and sprouting a rack. Then this spring while burning a brushpile we scared him up again, he watched us from the road awhile and left, we didn't see him atall for a couple weeks, then he came back, better than ever. We called him Baby but that changed to Knucklebumps when his forehead sprouted. He runs with a family now. You get to cheering for them after awhile. :

Oh I'm so glad your Toad is alright.. isn't it
funny we worry about such things.. but don't give
a second thought to whack a gopher (my Dad would),
oppossum, or squish a roach
