I have been unable to get any local well pump repairmen to find the time to come out since this is not my only source of water.

I did get one to discuss my problem with me over the phone a bit, and he feels, as I do that my problem is still some sort of air lock.

I have purchased the materials to remove the "packer well adapter" which currently sits atop my casing. What I found out is that the prime bolt in the top of this adapter does NOT prime the pump. The priming hole feeds down below the water level in the pipe, which is below the level of the outlet from the adapter. I am going to remove it entirely and put in a simple elbow. The adapter is for deep well setup which I don't have.

I am hoping this will take care of my problem.
It will be Sunday or Monday before I can install it - today and tomorrow I'm mowing about 20 acres - plenty of seat time in my tractor.

Thanks for your inquiry. I'll let you know how it turns out.

i think thats what i was trying to say the other night that you need to remove that adapter in order for your pump to operate as a shallow well, anyways good luck , hope you get it workin .
