looks like cat number four has arrived\\\\\\\\\------- oh and he can type some too. Another stray found at work. Any home remedies or is the vet the best bet ?

If it's pinkeye it's highly contagious and requires a doctor's care
- opthalmic antibiotic at least.

It can easily not be pink eye. I always segregate new cats for
about 10days when introducing them to the household. They
can carry colds, mites, fleas, etc.

I think a vet visit might be in order.

Congrats on your new acquisition.

Is it pinkeye for certain or could it be distemper? Runny eyes in a cat often points toward distemper. I learned that the hard way about 15 years ago.

Well..this is something I have used frequently for my cats..they are indoor cats all three..get some Saline solution..Ocean is the name..in a drugstore of Riteaid..and either drop it or spray it into the cat's eye..Do this for 3 days..if you see no change at all go to the vet..sometimes they scratch each other and get an irritation..let me know!! I swear by this and figgered it out myself since I tend to do my own animals doctoring,,
