The Republican National Convention. What a pleasure to see adults conduct themselves as such. Should be even better tonight. Makes television worth watching.

Well, Len, I managed to watch a good bit of it.
Between the full moon and my little nieghbor, I have not made it to bed yet. That is on my schedule right now if nothing changes.

I really enjoyed it. I did not see who spoke before Arnold, but I loved his speech. The Bush girls attempt at comedy poking fun at themselves was nice and the surprise introduction of their dad! I loved the way the First Lady was introduced by him. All in all I got a very good feeling.

I will try to watch the President tomorrow night.
God willing and my neigbor stays quiet, I am going to bed. Goodnight folks!

I am enjoying it! Nice to see who is brave enough to stand up and be counted. A few "celebrities" have been willing to speak out and risk their careers in liberal controled Hollywood. You have got to admire their courage.

I am so tired, my neighbor had a rough night so I did, too. I did not get to sleep till 3:00am and had to get up at 7:30. Bless her heart she did not remember our rough night. she told me this morning, "I slept pretty good last night". LOL

I would like to watch the First Lady's speach but I do not think I will be able to make it.
Goodnight folks!

Just my luck. When the convention started getting good tonight the station took it off and put on a rerun of Field & Stream.

Maybe it'll be better for the convention tomorry nite. They're supposed to have some Log Cabin war hero fellers on there.

The lead Log Cabin feller was wearing a bandaid purple heart on his chin.

I had'nt ever heard of a Log Cabin conservative or the purple heart bandaid award, but they said it was awarded to ratwingers who had dealt a "great blow" within the ratwing party.

Them Log Cabin boys must be some kind of reserve outfit. They was wearing yellow and pink himitation gyrene uniforms with NooHamshuh unit patches and Elton John sunglasses.

Oh boy the convention is coming back on now. I'll find out what them Log Cabin Boys and flashy uniforms are all about now. Hallaluhya

Well "brudder" Burr, if your tryin' to rile me your just talkin' to the hand. I follow my convictions, and.........I,m right. w/ pun intended

Burrhead    Posted 08-31-2004 at 19:51:57       [Reply]  [No Email]
can't we all just get along for one convention "brudder" Len. I'm just trying to enjoy watching the convention myself.

As for yer hand, that's strictly between you and yer hand.

Sid    Posted 08-31-2004 at 20:48:58       [Reply]  [No Email]
You know Burr, you're post are much more pleasant when you truly are helpful and you have been a few times. But then you come along and make a wisecrack like you did and expect others to get along. Why can't you just act like a mature adult and stop your digs and put downs? If you want everybody to get along try to contribute toward that goal. It ain't all that hard to keep ones mouth shut when they disagree or don't like a particular post. Believe me when I say I have been doing it a long time.

Makes almost as much sense as Charlie Rangel, doesn't he?

Just the facts Mam, just the facts. Let's not side step the issue til we establish the boundaries.

Yer the one who said the convention coverage is so "refreshing".

Without you calling in to the talerban support center for and answer, which part of the coverage were so refreshing to you??

Was it the gay boys prancing or their wearing of the purple heart bandaids??

RN    Posted 09-01-2004 at 11:18:36       [Reply]  [No Email]
Burrhead: just the facts? Awhile back you had posting about WMD provided to Iraq by U.S. When I inquired about credible, verifiable sources you refered to Democrat accusations without proof, then refered to British papers accusing-but again with no credible documentation. You never provided a source for your statements that was believable, credible, verifiable. This seems to be a Liberal Democrat pattern-accusation without documentation. If no credible backing to statements at least get some funnier references. Still waiting for American WMD to Iraq sources. Ratwing Fledermaus/RN.

Wait yer turn RN, one complaint at a time today please, and besides that BrudderLes is confused enough already.

I need to find out what BrudderLes thinks is so "refreshing" about watching gay men parade around in miltary fatigues with purple heart bandaids on their chins.

Him and Len suggested we watch the GOP convention because it was "adult" and "refreshing" entertainment. I did'nt see anything entertaining about it at all.

What I saw from the convention was a downright insult to any straight person of either political party, especially our military.

Burrhead    Posted 08-31-2004 at 22:16:52       [Reply]  [No Email]
Yes I do know Sid and did you know that I don't start these insulting threads?

The whole point that some ratwing folks refuse to accept is that these poison post from BrudderLes and his email posse are an insult to any and all political belief.

I saw the Log cabin Conservatives on the GOP convention coverage tonight. I do not see the problem with making a comment about them as the convention was the chosen mode of the ratwing jab.

The 2 fellers were saying the convention is a "refreshing" and "adult" time for TV enjoyment.

The question I would ask anyone is what is so refreshing and/or adult about a group of gay (conservative or liberal) men running around with a purple heart bandaid on their chin??

That is not simply an insult to Kerry or any democrat, this was and insult to our military troops who have down thru time been awarded the Purple Heart, no matter what political belief they hold.

Dr. Fred Schwarz, You Can Trust the Communists (to be Communists)
published by the Christian Anti-Communists Crusade

andPrentice-Hall, Inc., 1960

from chapter 8: "ALLIES OF COMMUNISM"
(pp. 102-103)

THE SIGNIFICANCE of Communism can never be measured by the number of Communists. Lenin's slogan was "fewer but better." It has been a long-established slogan that "the Party grows strong through purging itself." The theory of Communism is that of the chosen few who are organized, disciplined, dedicated, and equipped with superior intelligence and understanding of the laws of history. By this chosen few, the conquest of the world and the regeneration of mankind will be accomplished. The number of actual Communists has never been great.

Even acute observers, noting the numerical weakness of the Communists, have taken false hope from this fact. Such people fail to understand that the Communists are able to rally into their service multitudes who are completely unaware that they are serving the Communist cause. Our purpose here is to study those attitudes which transform well-meaning, patriotic, Christian people into the allies of Communism.

"brudder" Burr, If it's an audience you seek, then you should stick your head up your a$$ and shout real loud.
