Hot and dry in my part of virginia. i would say if we don't get 4 inches of rain in the next few weeks it will be critical to this years crops.

My grandfather use to say that a man without just a little temper wasn't worth a D@#M. i took that to mean that a person with a passion about something, anything wasn't likely to take action.

lets take some time to cool off and let the hormones even out. if i've learned anything from this net site (and i've learned a lot) its that its all too easy to publish some statement thats too harsh. and it will not go away until wiser mother comes along and wacks with the skillet.

i'm sorry if i have made anyone mad or insulted anyone, that was not my motive. my intensions are good, probably too blunt, probably unneeded, perhaps untimely.

Just starting to get nice where I live. It is getting up to 60 degs now!! Grass is growing getting ready to take down the old garden fence and put up a Chain Link one that is buired 18 inches in the ground to keep the Marmonts and Cows out! Been a battle that I have been losing around here. I can keep the Cows out but the marmonts go thru the fence and wipe out the garden in a couple of days just after it comes up. I have shot a whole lot of them but they keep coming out of the ground!! So they win and I build a better fence this year. Another 800.00 into fences just to grow my Veggies and keep the weaner pigs safe from the Coyoites ect. Right now the 3-pigs are carry away size and I have to keep my dogs fenced in due to open range and I don't want them to run loose or I would not need so many good fences to keep the wild critters away from what I want to grow and keep!! Mark H.

Hey Mark,
Forget the fences and just raise coyotes and marmonts instead.HA

That would be easy around here to do. If I could find a market for them I would be rich beond my wildest dreams. Mark H.

The weather here is perfect at the moment and subject to change at any time. I thought it'd be a good time to till some more.

If I stay at it, the garden should be ready in about a year.

Make peace with the Chemical Man and let him turn it over.    Posted 04-18-2002 at 11:47:17       [Reply]  [No Email]
Whole lot better on your back if you let the farmers tractor turn over your sod. That rototiller ain't up to the job, and readin your other posts I'd have to say that you ain't up to it either. Make peace with a whole lot of other folks while yer at it. Ya need to...

It is HOT here today! The weather is strange! It is in the 80's already which for April is very odd for me!

Next week it is back to the 50's.

Spoken like a true southern gentleman. Nice to know you are in my neck of the woods. I too have enjoyed this site. Learned some from reading the questions and answers from people needing to know, and needing to answer. As for temper, it protects you from bullys and building inspectors sometimes. Righteous indignation is what I think those 'experts' call it. Welds power when power is needed, but you got to be pure of heart when you use it.
