Does anyone have any ideas on what to get, I've been trying to think of something, relatively low cost.... Thanks.

Give them a GET OUT OF JAIL FREE card. LOL
Chas in Me

We did this a little while ago for my cousin. The best part was people getting up a speaking about something they had done with the honored couple. That was all taped for them.
People love looking at their own lives through the eyes of others.

Here's a suggestion that might be in your price range. Find an old photograph of the two of them when they were young, possible a wedding photo. And, have it enlarged to a wall size poster. Take it from someone that's probably about their age, Seniors draw from life experiences and fond memories.....gfp

another brainstorm!!! How about putting together a "This Is Your Life" kind of cronology of important events in a bound volume and present it to them. You know, things like first meeting, first kiss, when he proposed, their first house, any thing that marks a milestone in a long life together. And, just to make it really meaningful prepare a collogue with reference to the pictures contained in the book.....gfp (a true romantic at heart).

For my in-laws 40th, we hosted a drop-in for them and invited a lot of old friends that they hadn't seen in years.
At that point in life there wasn't much you could buy them that they really wanted or needed. They seemed to enjoy catching up with the old friends though.

Sounds good, but they are already having a big thing going on, they are having a large get together thing, meal taken care of I believe. It would have to be taken to that.
