I am in Coffee county near Elba. Are you nearby?

With you talking about running down to Destin and since this is peanut growing country only about 1.5 hours north of Destin, I thought maybe you were nearby somewhere in Southeast Alabama.

Naw - My mom doesn't have anyone nearby to help her. She is up there in age and I don't want her trying anything with power tools (grin) like boarding up a house. I drive down to see her often. Its 13hrs for me to get there and finding a contractor in the panhandle is virtually impossible. They are all way too busy building new condos. They never respond to locals who need small jobs done.

That is where I come in. Pack my tools in the jeep and bring along some good CDs to listen to.

Besides - I love the boiled peanuts at all the veggie stands outside Mobile. That is how I got my nickname.

I see, but you miss the biggest part of the peanuts. Coffee county has about 25000 acres. Houston county probably has more like 35-40,000 acres.

I always enjoy looking at the variety of agriculture in Baldwin county (the east side of Mobile Bay). May not be too much to look at by tomorrow afternoon though.

Good luck to your family in Destin.
