Well, the good news for my mom's house in Destin, FL is that it is still standing. No major damage. Lots of down trees. Some minor damage to the exterior. VERY wet - too much rain. No power. Many roads are simply not accessible. The beach is gone in a lot of places. Severe damage to homes right on the edge of the beach. Many businesses are completely flooded out.

How did everyone else do? I saw that Alabama really got nailed hard.

Now it is a tremendous amount of rain for the entire Southeast USA. Good luck to everyone that has to deal with this.

My dad lives in south Alabama around the Thomasville area and he just called me. They fared really well and only got the power out. No wind damage at his place other than a few trees down. Up here in north Ga. we got plenty of rain. Least We wont be hollering about a water shortage for a while. Those tornado warnings we have is not to pleasant to hear though.

B'ham is hanging there with the winds gusting to 75 mph here onthe mountain. Amazed power still on. Some damage to trees, lots power out, mostly at houses without Republican candidate signs in their yards! Go Figger?
