Kat I dealt with Marek's and LL in commercial layer, breeder, and broiler flocks.

Is there any sure fire way to find out whether or not they have it??? Mine start jerking their heads around...I thought impactted crop and then they got to where they could not walk...the one I lost yesterady was still eating but paralyied legs and jerking her head around...How in the world did they get this if they have it for sure??? Thanks...KAtg

It is diagnosed by microscopic examination of the sciatic nerve, brain, bursa of fabricious (not sure I spelled that right) and any turmors they may have.
