Way to go, bring up all the old memories, and dredge up the mental anguish. That's what ya call skillet rash ain't it?
Mojo, Don't let Toolman scare ya, he just wants yer pool for a fish pond. LOL
Here's what happens when you combine the lack of floatation devices, weak framing and nearly 30" of ice. I also can't say enough bad things about Wilkes Pools.
Now I know Donna's gonna see this and make me get to work on the new one to make sure it's winterized, cause it got down in the 30's last night.

Major Failure!! Good thing it didn't go the other direction. Wait til my wife sees this, it'll give her nightmares! Was that a round pool? I mean originally until mother nature took over:^(. That was alot of money lost just in water...

No, that was a 16'X24' with a 6' deep hopper in one end. The side you are looking at, was 24' and it opened it up like a door! Just swung it to the left side of pic, and flopped it out.
It's mostly my own fault, we've had these things for years, and somehow or another, I forgot to put in a Floatation cushion. But the darned plywood was beginning to rot, on this puppy and it let loose.
New one is all aluminum,,, LOL
