I was thinking this would be a great recipe to use when at the end of tomato season and ripe tomatoes are everywhere.
Often folks ask "what can I do with all these tomatoes?"
I think I'll tell them make TOMATO RELISH from now on. It can be canned so it would be available during the winter!

i was raised on a good tomato recipe - when mom baked bread, i'd take a loaf and cut a few slices, then go get a jar of canned tomatoes, mush them on top and put sugar on them. they sure were good!

Yum, that fresh baked bread is the best,
