yeah well stated cindi - we'd had a bad stretch in 1971 in california - saw a cartoon where 2 guys were talking and the guy was making a list: "so far this year we've had a flood, a fire and an earthquake - what could possibly be next?" and there was a big dinosaur crawling over the hill behind him. :)

Are we in some way suggesting that Bush is attracting disaster? Tsk tsk tsk. I have heard this rumor but had no basis for it until now.

No, that's not my analysis of the situation. I live in a "pink" county in a red state myself and I haven't seen no hurricane or other disaster around here that I could blame on W. Of course up here, we're surrounded by them blue states so any hurricane would have to go through a couple of them before it got to us.
