It seems hard to believe that the same storm that brought devastating flooding to the Appalachians and southern New England will once again affect the United States. While the moisture from Ivan passed to the northeast, circulation from the storm worked its way back into the Gulf of Mexico over the past couple of days. Ivan has once again gained enough strength to become a named tropical storm, but instead of wrecking havoc on the Northeast, Ivan will inundate southern Louisiana and eastern Texas with wind and rain.

After impacting eastern Texas this weekend, Ivan is expected to move back into the western Gulf of Mexico Monday. Steering winds from the north will push Ivan southward into the Gulf of Mexico. It is too early to tell whether or not Ivan will restrenghten once it reaches the Gulf of Mexico Monday.

From the picture you posted a while ago, you don'y look old enough to remember the word "Kooky".

Chas, looking back in time, up here in Maine.

Hmmmm, Thanks for the compliment Chas and maybe it's just a word I picked up from some of the folks around here ; )

I can't find my comb, Roscoe. Maybe Stu Bailey has it.

See if she goes back far enough to know who they are :^)

I just flashed on Connie Stevens, my one true teen-age love.
Chas, looking for that comb, up here in Maine.

UH-OH, I forgot about Connie Stevens. What was I thinking? I saw her on some show not long ago, looking pretty rough.
