I unloaded my XP HOME on my newest PC. I think,,, the free load file mechanic caused the crash. I can reload this pretty fast now.BUT ,My Linux Redhat double disk arrived as I just reloaded,I thought,I'll just dump XP again and try Redhat,I was going to do it but a little sign showed up saying something like.. If you dump XP it wont be stable the next time you load it. As you know,I registered and Gates reads the motherboard serial number so you must use that same disk on the same MB. This is really A sorry way to do business.Since the disk cost 216 bucks.But I have two disk of Redhat which it takes two to do the setup.(I guess) >19 bucks shipped 2 day UPS. then I have one disk of Corel Linux coming later ,2 bucks 49 cents shipped If I can load a Linux and get it online I will be very happy to avoid more Microsoft Windows,Even if you order 98 or 95 Win. You have to register those. Got a Seagate 20 MB hard drive coming to try to get Linux on an old Compaq PC. I hate compacq because they make loading more complex.There are things added in the BIOS to get through on reloads.

I have a question. Why do you have to register with Microsoft? The only reason I know of is if you have a problem with it and you are going to ask them for help.

Talcon,,Since XP came out.I have both Home and Pro XP.But you have 30 days to register after you load. When you do,MS records your MB serial number,If you do NOT register inside the 30 days .The XP will shut down. This is another reason I want Linux in operation.

Sounds like you are having a great time, pal.

Bonnie and I are going to Baytown to eat and shop.
So if you are on line later I'll tell you what all we ate and what we bought. LOL

I think your new messenger should have an invitation feature like yahoo does;
if you send me an invitation I'll sign on.
We'll see if it works better than yahoo does.

I will go check ISP messenger to se if we can connect.I think Yahoo is like AOL.It does what it wants to do with your PC. Ill be on tonight..Folks came.Left a vacuum truck for rebuild.Welding freebies.. interlopers.. Curious Georges..Passersby.. The lost..Folks looking in the metal bin.Disinterested third parties..Ya know what I mean Vern?? My XP says it dont like my US Robotics modem.It is not digitally signed! If I ever see Bill Gates ,I will put a bug in his ear!
