We would like to burn the little calves horns off...what age to we do this..Does vets burn them off??..I hate to see the little heifers have to go through what Amos did...KAtG

This works when three.four.five months of age. Suggest PLR's Acid suggestion. Just keep the stuff locked up out of childrens reach.

You can dehorn at any age. cleanest methods are acid paste which can be done up to 2 weeks old I think. and hot iron can be done up to about 2-3 months. Check with your local feed store or vet for what they recommend.
