Should I do anything special to my rose brushes for the winter. We are zone 5 but we get lots of snow here on the mountain.Fil thought his sister used to put mulch really thick and cover the bush with a burlap bag. Does that sound right? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

You do have to do alittle care taking to protect them.
I have put a site here for you, it has good information for zone 5.
It is different for bush roses and climbers.
It is worth the effort though.
Have they done well during the warm months?

You will have to wait untill she gets out of church for a response.Often that is 8=30 PM central time.
